CASA's Casey Washington spoke at our Oct 21st meeting about the benefits of the services for kids in tough spots and the need for more volunteers.

CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children's mission is empowering volunteers to be the voice in court for abused and neglected children. Volunteers are needed to become a Court Appointed Special Advocate, or CASA volunteer, to amplify a child's and their family's voices during their involvement in the child welfare system. Speak up for a child who needs you!

According to the CASA of Red River website, their mission is to serve the most innocent and vulnerable of our community, children who have been abused or neglected. Our children are in the child protection/foster care system and rely upon our volunteers to advocate for their best interests and to speak up for them in court. We believe all children should be loved and feel safe.
