The Rotary Club of Southwest Wichita Falls will host a panel discussion at noon Monday, Oct 17th to educate and share community resources in response to our Fentanyl crisis.

Members of the media and leaders of youth oriented organizations and activities are invited to RSVP by clicking here, limited seating available. It is key for all to understand this threat and educate their circles of influence.
With over 20 deaths to date in 2022, Fentanyl clearly threatens our community. One Pill Can Kill: a year ago DEA lab analyses reveal that two out of every five fake pills with fentanyl contain a potentially lethal dose. Estimates indicate that synthetic opioids, including illicitly manufactured fentanyl (IMF), were involved in approximately two thirds of an estimated 108,174 US overdose deaths in the 12 months ending in April 2022.

Our panel’s purpose is to educate our community and share available resources. Join Southwest Rotary Monday October 17th as we moderate a panel of local experts from WFISD, WFPD and Community Healthcare Center for an educational discussion about the threat of Fentanyl in our community.   Information available on Facebook pages and websites of panelists’ organizations.
