Rotary Club of Southwest Wichita Falls Flag Subscription Update

Some important information for our valued Flag Program subscribers.

Thank you Volunteers, Road to College students, mentors, siblings, parents and SW Rotarians. The Flags put out for Labor Day thru Patriot Day long display are back in our storage barn..

A total of 808 flags were put out for display. 2 routes of flags are still out from Rider south to Lake Wichita and will be picked up this weekend. We really appreciate all the support.

Our Last Flag Holiday for the 2024 season is Veterans Day - we will put out flags Nov 10th and pick up Nov 11th.

We are thankful for all our volunteers that assist us in making this such a successful program including the Road to College group, members of the Optimist Club and of course our very own Southwest Wichita Falls Rotary members.

As there are three Rotary Clubs providing flags to different streets, we need your street address and work to connect you with the right team to get your flag set up.

The annual lease includes a 5' x 3' flag on a 10-foot pole for all six holidays, plus the installation of a small PVC sleeve in your lawn (where the flag pole will be seated). The flags will be delivered a day or so before the holiday, and will be picked up a day or so after the holiday (weather and volunteer schedule permitting). Our volunteers are assisted by partners from the Road to College Program and the Optimist club and subscription fees are shared with them in appreciation for their assistance.

In Wichita Falls, three Rotary Clubs -- Southwest Rotary, Downtown Rotary, Rotary North – provide flags to various neighborhoods. If you would like to have a flag for your home or business, please click here and add your name address and phone number to the email and we will verify your address against the addresses served by the three area Rotary clubs, and then connect you with the club serving your neighborhood who will provide their subscription form to get set up for flag service. Along with our Annual Sporting Clay Shoot, the Flag Program is a fundraiser for Southwest Rotary Club of Wichita Falls. Our fundraising projects fund local, regional, national and international projects focusing on six areas:

Peace and conflict prevention/resolution.
Disease prevention and treatment.
Water and sanitation.
Maternal and child health.
Basic education and literacy.
Economic and community development.
